Upon arrival in San José, you will be met and transferred from the airport to the hotel. Overnight accommodation in San José. (Room assignment is subject to the hotel's check-in schedule and room availability at the time of arrival.)

At the scheduled time, depart for a half-day sightseeing tour of San José. The tour is conducted aboard the VIP City Bus, a double-decker sightseeing bus that offers an entertaining, cultural, and informative way to discover Costa Rica’s capital from a panoramic perspective. During the tour, you will visit San José’s main historical and cultural landmarks, combining bus rides with guided walking tours of the city’s most representative attractions. Full-Day Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs Tour (12 Hours)

Recommendations: Bring a swimsuit, towel, light jacket, rain poncho, and camera.

This tour begins with a departure from San José to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Along the way, there will be a stop in the picturesque town of Sarchí, recognized as Costa Rica’s main artisan center, where visitors can admire the world’s largest ox cart.

The journey continues through vast pineapple and mango plantations, as well as scenic forests and cattle ranches, before arriving in La Fortuna. There, guests will enjoy a delicious lunch with spectacular views of Arenal Volcano.

Afterward, visitors will have time to relax in the hot springs, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and offering privileged views of the volcano. Optional massages and wellness treatments may also be reserved.

To conclude the experience, dinner will be served at the hot springs resort before returning to San José. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in San José.

Full-Day Tour: Doka Coffee Estate, Poás Volcano & La Paz Waterfall Gardens

It is recommended to bring a light jacket, a rain poncho, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera.

The excursion begins with a tour of the city of Alajuela, followed by an ascent toward Poás Volcano. Along the way, you will experience a variety of microclimates and enjoy views of the region’s extensive agricultural landscapes.

The first stop will be at Doka Coffee Estate, where you will enjoy an included breakfast and a coffee plantation tour. Afterward, the journey continues to Poás Volcano National Park, where you can admire its impressive crater, lush vegetation, and the natural attractions surrounding the area.

Later, the tour continues to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a spectacular nature sanctuary featuring walking trails that lead to several waterfalls. The complex also includes exhibits of butterflies, hummingbirds, snakes, frogs, and a variety of bird species. Lunch is included during the excursion.

At the end of the tour, return to San José for overnight accommodation.

The adventure begins with a cruise aboard the Bay Princess catamaran to Tortuga Island, one of Costa Rica’s most visited and beloved destinations, renowned for its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters.

During the excursion, visitors can relax on the island’s spectacular white-sand beaches and enjoy the stunning turquoise waters. A delicious lunch is also included to complete the experience.

At the end of the tour, return to San José for overnight accommodation.

HOTELS

  • The hotels mentioned are for reference only; they are the most commonly used in this type of tour. However, when services are confirmed, please note that the assigned hotels may be others of the same category.
  • Triple rooms: These consist of 2 double beds in the room (no extra beds are provided).
  • Amenities such as cribs or bed types (Twin, King, Queen) are subject to availability at the hotel at the time of booking.

ITINERARY

  • Maximum waiting time for regular transfers: 5 minutes.
  • In the case of arrivals or departures outside the scheduled tour times, or if additional nights are required, transfers are not included in the package and may be arranged at an additional cost.
  • The itinerary is subject to changes due to weather conditions, road conditions, operational issues, availability, or unforeseen events at the time of booking.
  • The order of activities may vary; however, the content and included services will remain the same.
  • Do not forget to pay the Costa Rica departure tax, approximately USD 29 per person. This charge is usually collected together with the airline ticket by the airline.
  • Regular or shared services: Some services are provided on a shared basis with other passengers. Transportation, guided tours, and excursions are conducted in groups, so schedules and routes may be adjusted for proper coordination of services.
  • Travel documents: Once full payment has been confirmed, final travel documents will be sent approximately 6 days before the departure date.

TOURS AND EXCURSIONS

  • The guide or local operator may adjust the order of visits for logistical, operational, or weather-related reasons, always respecting the contracted services.
  • If any activity cannot be carried out due to force majeure, a refund will be processed only for the unused service, when applicable.
  • We are not responsible for tourist services booked directly by the passenger with external providers.

CHILD POLICY

  • Infants (under 1.99 years): Only pay airline taxes. The exact amount will be confirmed at the time of ticket issuance. However, if the infant requires a special seat or any other equipment for transportation, please inform us at the time of booking so we can accommodate these needs.
  • Children (ages 2 to 8): Children in this age group pay the child fare.
  • Children (9 years and older): Children in this age group pay the adult fare.
  • Room occupancy: The maximum number of children sharing a room with parents is subject to each hotel’s policies.
  • Documentation: All minors must be accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardians. At check-in, they must present an ID card, valid passport, or birth certificate.

VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION

  • A passport with at least 6 months of validity at the time of travel is required. To confirm the reservation, a copy of the passport must be sent; if it is not yet available, a copy of an official identification document showing the passenger’s full legal name may be submitted.
  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify, according to their nationality and country of residence, whether a visa or other documents are required to enter the travel destinations and to ensure all documentation is valid at the time of travel.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

  • Payments made to confirm the reservation are non-refundable, unless specific supplier conditions state otherwise in writing.
  • Service confirmation is subject to timely payment according to the dates established in the quotation.
  • The first deposit must be 25% plus the full cost of the airline ticket.
  • 125 days before the departure date: 50% of the total package must be paid.
  • 95 days before the departure date: 80% of the total package must be paid.
  • 65 days before the departure date: 100% of the total package must be paid.
