After this unique experience, accommodation will be provided at the reserve.

  • Double rooms: Confirmed with one double (full) bed. If you prefer two single beds, you must request this in advance, as it is subject to hotel availability and may affect the price.
  • Triple rooms: An additional rollaway bed will be provided along with the double bed. Availability of the rollaway bed is subject to hotel confirmation at the time of booking. If you prefer three separate beds, please note that this request depends on hotel policies and may involve changes in room category and pricing.

  • Check-in is from 3:30 PM, and check-out must be completed before 12:00 PM.

ITINERARY

  • There are two seasons in the Amazon: high-water and low-water. From December to June, water levels are higher, allowing for more aquatic activities. From July to November, water levels decrease, making hiking more accessible. Each season is beautiful; we have designed an itinerary you will enjoy regardless of water levels. You can trust that our guides will always take you to experience the best of each season.
  • There is no internet in the area. TIGO service works intermittently, with limited coverage sufficient for sending text messages.
  • Electricity is generated by solar panels. Please avoid using high-consumption electrical devices such as hair dryers, as they can use up a full day’s solar energy.
  • Temperatures drop by approximately 7°C at night, making the environment very comfortable. The architecture is designed to promote natural ventilation. The proximity to the forest and the river breeze also help keep the area cool.
  • There are no water heaters; however, the water temperature is approximately 26°C (79°F).
  • Menus are available for different diets and/or allergies; please inform us in advance.
  • It is important that passengers are able to get in and out of a boat.
  • There have been no yellow fever outbreaks in many years. Vaccination is a personal decision and should be discussed with a travel clinic or your physician. For Brazil, the vaccination certificate is mandatory.
  • Calanoa provides high-quality organic shampoo, soap, and conditioner. We avoid single-use packaging.
  • Transportation allows one checked bag of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and one carry-on of up to 8 kg (17 lbs) per person. Excess baggage may be accommodated at no additional cost, subject to vehicle capacity.
  • We recommend not leaving valuables in the vehicle. The operator is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of valuable items.
  • The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, road conditions, operational issues, availability, or unforeseen events at the time of booking.
  • The order of activities may vary; however, the content and included services will remain unchanged.
  • Regular/shared services: Some services are provided on a shared basis with other passengers. Transportation, guided tours, and excursions are conducted in groups, so schedules and routes may be adjusted to ensure proper coordination.
  • Travel documents: Once full payment has been confirmed, final travel documents will be sent approximately 6 days prior to departure.

VISITS AND EXCURSIONS

  • The guide or local operator may adjust the order of visits for logistical, operational, or weather-related reasons, while always respecting the contracted services.
  • If any activity cannot be carried out due to force majeure, a refund will be processed only for the service not provided, when applicable.
  • We are not responsible for tourism services booked directly by the passenger with external providers.

VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION

  • It is essential to have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity at the time of travel. To confirm the reservation, a copy of the passport must be sent; if you do not yet have one, you may send a copy of an official identification document where the passenger’s name is correctly shown.
  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify, based on their nationality and country of residence, whether a visa or other documentation is required to enter the destination(s), and to ensure all documents are valid at the time of travel.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

  • Payments made to confirm reservations are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing by the provider.
  • Confirmation of services is subject to timely payment according to the dates established in the quotation.
