Upon arrival in Lima, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Later, at the appointed time, we will begin our tour of Lima’s Historic Center, where you can admire the city’s stunning architectural treasures, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site. Our visit begins at the Convent of Santo Domingo, built during the founding of Lima and the birthplace of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in the Americas. Inside, we highlight the choir with the oldest choir stalls in the country and the library, which houses 25,000 books, including 15th-century printed editions of priceless historical value. Here also rest the remains of Saint Martin de Porres, Saint Juan Masías, and Saint Rose of Lima.

Crossing the Plaza Mayor, we will admire the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace, and then enter the Lima Cathedral, a true treasure from the colonial era, with works of art that transport us to the city’s history. Afterwards, we will head to the Larco Museum, where we will learn about the fascinating cultures that inhabited ancient Peru. Its collection includes gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics, offering a unique insight into the worldview of the ancient Peruvians. During our visit, the museum’s storage will be open, allowing us to appreciate other artistic expressions depicted in their ceramics. Overnight stay.

At the appointed time, depart by bus to the beautiful bay of Paracas. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and assisted to board the modern Aerodiana aircraft, Cessna Grand Caravan models, at Pisco Airport. Enjoy an impressive flight over the sands of the Ica Desert before reaching the vast Nasca Pampas, home to the mysterious and enigmatic designs that can only be appreciated from the air. During the tour, you will be able to see figures such as the monkey, hummingbird, spider, lizard, astronaut, dog, condor, and numerous lines that resemble landing strips. After this unique experience, return to Pisco and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the time is free. Overnight in Paracas.

In the morning, when the sea is calm, we will board fast boats to explore the Ballestas Islands, part of the Paracas National Marine Reserve. This protected ecosystem is home to unique species that you will encounter along the way. On the route, we will also see the mysterious figure known as El Candelabro, aligned toward the Nasca Pampas. Upon reaching the islands, we will discover large caves that serve as a refuge for sea lions, penguins, and various seabirds, while our expert guide helps us identify them. The curiosity of the sea lions often brings them close to the boats, allowing for unforgettable close-up encounters. In the afternoon, we will begin an unforgettable tour of the city. We will start at San Cristóbal Square, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Cusco and capture spectacular photos. Next, we will continue to the San Pedro Market, a place full of colors, flavors, and local traditions, where you can get up close to the products that supply the entire city. Then, we will visit the majestic Temple of Qorikancha, whose walls were once covered in gold and still retain their full magnificence. Our walk will continue through the San Blas neighborhood, known as the artisans’ quarter, where you can admire workshops and local creations. We will descend on foot along Hatun Rumiyoc Street, passing by the Inca Roca Palace, now converted into the Archbishop’s Palace, and stopping to admire the world-famous Twelve-Angled Stone. Finally, we will arrive at the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Cusco, where we will visit its impressive Cathedral, which houses colonial works of inestimable artistic and historical value. Next, we will visit the lookout of Puca Pucará and Tambomachay, a monument of remarkable architectural excellence, considered one of the pillars of Andean worldview. The afternoon will be free for you to enjoy the city at your own pace, exploring hidden corners, artisan shops, or simply soaking in the magic of Cusco. Overnight stay.

DAY 6 • CHINCHERO – MORAY – OLLANTAYTAMBO – SACRED VALLEY

This day we will explore the most remarkable sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will depart for the picturesque town of Chinchero, famous for its textile tradition and its women weavers. We will make a brief stop at a textile center to appreciate the ancient Inca techniques of dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. We will visit the town’s Inca plaza and its beautiful colonial church, combining pre-Columbian and colonial history in one place. Next, we will continue to Moray, an impressive archaeological site made up of concentric agricultural terraces that served as a laboratory for recreating different microclimates. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch before heading to the last living Inca town: Ollantaytambo. Here, we will tour the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Ñusta Baths, and the Temple of the Sun, while admiring the unique panoramic views from the heights of Ollantaytambo. Thus concludes this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where landscapes, history, and traditions are deeply intertwined. Overnight stay.

The long-awaited day has arrived to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu. We will board the train at Ollantaytambo Station and enjoy a comfortable journey to Machu Picchu Station, where our staff will assist you in boarding the bus that ascends a winding road with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the surrounding deep canyon. Upon arrival, the Lost City of the Incas will welcome us with its impressive architecture: terraces, stairways, ceremonial enclosures, and urban areas that convey the energy and mystery of this unique place. We will enjoy lunch before returning by train and being transferred back to our hotel in Cusco. Overnight stay.

  • For luggage transport on the route to Machu Picchu, only one small bag or backpack is allowed on board, with a maximum weight of 5 kg / 11 lb and 62 linear inches / 157 cm (height + length + width).
  • The Machu Picchu excursion has been quoted using the EXPEDITION train service with lunch at a local restaurant (beverages not included).
  • Machu Picchu entrance tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and changes are not permitted. In the event of cancellation, a 100% penalty applies.
  • The Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft operated by Aerodiana comply with strict flight safety protocols and health standards on board. Each aircraft has a capacity of 12 passengers with a maximum combined weight of 800 kilograms at full capacity. Each traveler’s weight must be provided in advance and will be verified on a scale at the airport before boarding.
  • The flight over the Nazca Lines from Pisco has a total duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes, including the flight to the Nazca plains.

VISITS AND EXCURSIONS

  • The guide or local operator may adjust the order of visits for logistical, operational, or weather-related reasons, always respecting the contracted services.
  • If any activity cannot be carried out due to force majeure, the corresponding refund will be processed only for the service not provided, when applicable.

CHILD POLICY
